Full solar ahead at the Duke of Gloucester Barracks as 3ti make fantastic progress with the solar array installation

MOD Solar PV Array

Great build progress has been made this week at the solar farm at the Duke of Gloucester, as part of MOD โ€˜Project Prometheusโ€™. The mounting frames and ballast have been installed, and we are ready to start the solar panel installation.

A fantastic photo to demonstrate what has been accomplished to date and a visual of the finished installation.

The solar farm is supporting the Armyโ€™s sustainability target and is expected to supply the barracks with one third of its electricity needs. It is the second of four pilot sites delivered as part of โ€˜Project Prometheusโ€™ to increase renewable energy across the MOD’s Defence estate.
