NHS Highland – Raigmore Hospital

With EVs already operating across the hospital fleet and more staff, patients and visitors arriving in electric vehicles, NHS Highland needed to expand access to convenient charging at Raigmore Hospital.

A hospital presents a particular charging environment. Vehicles are often parked for several hours at a time, making it well suited to destination charging, but any new infrastructure also needs to work around a busy operational site.
NHS Highland needed a solution that could support different types of EV users while contributing to its wider sustainability ambitions.

HALO FastHub provided Raigmore Hospital with 12 EV charge points in a single, integrated solution, giving staff, patients and visitors access to charging while their vehicles are already parked on site.

The hub combines EV charging with its own solar canopy, generating renewable electricity directly where charging takes place.
By matching the charging solution to the longer dwell times typically found at a hospital, Raigmore could provide practical everyday charging without asking users to change how they use the site.
