As the home of British motorsport, Silverstone welcomes large numbers of visitors, teams and staff throughout a packed calendar of races, events and experiences.

With more drivers making the switch to electric vehicles, Silverstone needed dependable charging infrastructure in key areas of the site, while continuing to support its wider Shift to Zero sustainability ambitions.

The solution needed to provide convenient charging for different users across the venue and, crucially, be ready to perform throughout the busy racing season.

Two HALO FastHubs were installed at strategic locations across the Silverstone site: the Pit Stop Café and the Silverstone Wing.
By locating charging where visitors and staff were already spending time, Silverstone could provide convenient destination charging without changing how people use the venue.

Each HALO combines EV charging with integrated solar generation, creating visible renewable energy infrastructure that complements Silverstone’s wider sustainability ambitions.
The result is a solution designed not just around the vehicles being charged, but around the people, places and dwell times already on site.

Silverstone now has reliable, solar-supported EV charging available at two key locations across its estate, giving visitors and staff greater confidence that they can charge while spending time at the venue.

The hubs have continued to support thousands of charging sessions while generating renewable electricity on site, demonstrating how destination charging can become part of the wider visitor experience rather than simply another piece of car park infrastructure. 3ti
