24 Charge points at Bentley's Crewe HQ Bentley needed to expand renewable EV charging at its Crewe headquarters to support growing staff demand and complement its existing 10,000-panel solar array.

The project story

Challenge

Support growing EV demand.

As more Bentley colleagues switched to electric vehicles, demand for workplace charging at the company’s Crewe headquarters was growing too.
Bentley wanted to expand its charging provision in a way that supported its wider sustainability ambitions and complemented the extensive solar infrastructure already installed across the site.

The challenge was not simply to add more charge points, but to create additional charging capacity that could become part of Bentley’s wider approach to renewable energy and operational decarbonisation.

Solution

24 additional charge points

Two HALO FastHubs were installed at Bentley’s Crewe headquarters, providing 24 additional EV charge points for staff and visitors.

The hubs combine EV charging with integrated solar generation, adding to Bentley’s existing renewable energy infrastructure and giving more employees access to convenient workplace charging.
HALO’s modular design also meant the additional charging infrastructure could be introduced as a complete solution, bringing the charging hardware, solar generation and energy management together in one system.

Outcome

Growing utilisation.

The two HALO FastHubs are now supporting growing EV use across Bentley’s Crewe site, with an average of 1,200 charging sessions each month.

Together, the hubs deliver an average of 56,000 kWh of energy each month, while the installation recorded 33.8 tonnes of CO₂ savings over a 12-month period. 3ti

More importantly, the project demonstrates how workplace charging can form part of a much wider sustainability strategy, giving employees practical access to EV infrastructure while supporting Bentley’s continued investment in renewable energy and operational decarbonisation.

The exciting addition of further solar panels supports Bentley’s ongoing commitment to its Beyond100 strategy
